A Four Week Program (November/December 2022) of host country training of current and prospective teachers (K-14) as well as undergraduate or graduate students in the fields of Hindi teaching, area studies, education and environmental studies. A unique opportunity to engage in collecting and designing new educational materials (authentic audio, video and text-based resources).
The program is organized in three phases. It is focused on filling existing curricular gaps by acquiring cultural products/realia, exploring related practices and recording perspectives among several rural or tribal communities. The goal is to better equip the participants and disseminate materials in order to enrich civic engagement, global learning, critical media literacy and cultural sensitivity. It also provides opportunities for improving participants’ language and socio-cultural competencies in Hindi.
